Our story
The Dega Farm Retreat Center provide an atmosphere of reflection and inquiry into a deep study of Krishnamurti's teachings. Set in a lush green land of four acres, a place of great natural beauty on a quiet side of the open spaces around, the center offers a simple and austere way of living for seekers of truth.
The Dega Farms Retreat center has an eclectic book library and video collection of Krishnamurti’s talks and dialogues. There is no instructor or schedule to follow. One may spend time in retreat or listening or sitting quietly by Oneself. Regular organized retreats, gatherings and education related seminars are arranged throughout the year.
We offer quiet, comfortable accommodations in a farmhouse Bunglow with 2 bed rooms and Farm cottage with 1 bedroom, Kitchen, Dining, and main hall. This place is surrounded by fruit trees and flower plants, gardens, and open space on the South of Bengaluru. The dining hall offers three time meals and snacks. One can engage in informal conversations in the dining courtyard space with like-minded people.The property is alcohol and smoke-free and vegan. As a quiet retreat, we welcome children ages 12 and older.

Founder of Place
Mr. Dev Kumar Reddy
Dev is an alumni of Rishi Valley school & studied there between 1965 to 1975 . We want people to stay nutritionally healthy and happy with an objective to care, protect, value and transmit a healthy lifestyle,” says a Dev Kumar Reddy. Dev finished his Masters in Social Work from Chennai. And passionately interest in J. Krishnamurthi’s teachings. he always had the vision of being a social entrepreneur. Dev was associated with promoting Eco-friendly resorts, before he decided to bring organic products to people. “Majority of the diseases are caused due to the chemicals from pesticides. We use natural pest management to ensure our products are chemical-free.” He believes that for people to stay healthy and a fulfilling life, they need to consume more organic products.
He is also passionate about healthy living , classical music & dance and Eco Friendly architecture.
Retreat Facilitator
Shubham Gaikwad
Facilitator is Shubham Gaikwad. He considered himself as a traveler who is walking on the way pointed by J Krishnmurti, Ramana Maharshi and Shri Nisargdatta Maharaj. The journey he started some years before without destination, brought him to the world of feeling and experiencing. He is passionate to listen and observe the game of body, mind and nature in present.
He is the founder of ‘Feel Free Naturally ’ organisation which work to spread awareness about Self-Knowledge.
